Description
This medication is typically used for atrophic vaginitis (thinning and drying of the vagina, often due to aging or menopause).
Instructions
This medication is to be used vaginally. As this product may leak and stain your underwear, you are advised to wear a sanitary napkin during the treatment. Use the product for the prescribed period of time and follow the directions for use included in the package.
When applying this product, you may feel a slight irritation at first. If the irritation becomes severe or continues longer than a few minutes, consult your health care professional.
WARNING: Some of the ingredients contained in this product may weaken latex condoms, making them prone to breakage.
This medication is typically used only once a day. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Take it regularly and continuously to maintain its beneficial effects.
Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose and there is more than 8 hours left before the next dose, take immediately the missed dose. Do not double the next dose to catch up.
Side Effects
In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some side effects, notably:
- it may cause vaginal discharge.

Storage
As with most medications, this product should be stored at room temperature. Store it in a secure location where it will not be exposed to excessive heat, moisture or direct sunlight. Make sure that any leftover portion is disposed of safely. To remain effective, this product must be kept in its original packaging. Do not transfer it to another container.
